How we keep Merj clean
- Phone verification is required before anyone can browse — no anonymous burner accounts.
- Every photo is automatically screened for nudity and policy violations before it's shown to anyone; flags go to human review.
- 18+ content is double-gated: platform-level age verification, plus per-viewer, per-profile permission.
- Fake & scam accounts are flagged using duplicate-photo detection, behaviour patterns (mass-liking, copy-paste bios, off-platform redirects), and report volume — flagged accounts are limited automatically and reviewed by a person.
- Report & block is available from any profile, match, or chat.

Reports are weighted by reporter history to stop pile-ons — repeatedly reporting people without cause quietly reduces how much your future reports count.
Trust & Safety engine — live demo
This is the actual scoring function running against the mock profiles in your deck, so you can see how the signals combine instead of just trusting a paragraph about it. Nothing here is a hard auto-ban — everything routes to a graduated response.
